Intelligent International Medical Network: Design and Performance Analysis

Abstract
This research project investigates the increasingly important subject of using current Medical Networks as a means of communicating medical information. The Intelligent Networks (IN) and Advanced Intelligent Networks (AIN) services can be accomplished through the use of Intelligent Medical Asynchronous Transfer Mode (IM_ATM) switch architecture. The merits of the newly developed IM_ATM architecture and IM_ATM networks are analyzed, discussed, and reported.
